Lauren’s passion for helping people to improve their health and well being was recognized at an early age. Being an avid sports goer in her youth, Lauren sustained several sporting injuries and was exposed to the wide community of physical therapy and rehabilitation. This exposure led to her aspiration to help people improve their health, performance and well –being, just as she had experienced. Lauren focuses on providing a holistic approach to care that includes the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and complaints. This approach is multi-factorial and addresses the human body, health, exercise, occupation and stress to achieve optimal improvement in an individual whether concerning pain relief, functional performance, stress management or muscular discomfort/tightness.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Health; Science Musculoskeletal Therapy in 2013, Lauren has been practicing as a Clinical Myotherapist since. She has had experience working with a state league soccer club as a trainer, taking ergonomic seminars and currently teaching at a tertiary institution. To further her knowledge and skill, she is presently undergoing her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Lauren keeps active and enjoys traveling, kayaking, yoga and fitness training in her spare time. She is a firm believer in providing the optimal balance of physical therapy and self management strategies in her treatments. With the goal to not only provide an individual with relief and physical improvements, but also create long term management plans to prevent injury re-occurrence and promote independence.
